Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of large trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can quickly get rid of large hard stumps from sites with restricted access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Hills Landscaping has established strategic alliances with a number of consulting arborists throughout our service area for the benefit of our clients.

Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to help us in our daily activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the urban environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the safest possible method. To further make sure the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and enhanced safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capacity to lift large loads and therefore lowering our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function built canopies developed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting airflow and lowering dust triggering air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing urban environment root barriers have become an important strategy in preserving the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we make sure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
