Tree pruning or elimination either individually, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier installation.

Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate large trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can easily eliminate large challenging stumps from websites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to help us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continuously work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the safest possible way. To further make sure the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and enhanced safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to raise large loads and therefore reducing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose developed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have become a crucial strategy in maintaining the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to permit the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
