Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate big trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly eliminate big challenging stumps from sites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our everyday activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and removal in the urban environment requires operators to continuously work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the best possible way. To further ensure the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher effectiveness and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capability to raise big loads and therefore decreasing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing air flow and decreasing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing urban environment root barriers have become an essential strategy in preserving the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we ensure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
