Tree pruning or elimination either individually, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can easily remove big hard stumps from sites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

We have a range of equipment to help us in our daily activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly created for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the metropolitan environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible method. To further ensure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly created for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater efficiency and improved safety in eliminating trees.

With their capacity to lift big loads and for that reason decreasing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose constructed canopies created to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing airflow and decreasing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become a crucial technique in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to permit the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we ensure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
