Tree pruning or elimination either individually, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate large trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can quickly eliminate large challenging stumps from sites with restricted access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to assist us in our daily activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the urban environment requires operators to constantly work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further ensure the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capability to lift large loads and for that reason minimizing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose developed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and minimizing dust triggering air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have become a crucial method in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety features and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
