Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of big trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly get rid of big hard stumps from websites with restricted access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

We have a series of equipment to help us in our daily activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the urban environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the best possible method. To further ensure the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater effectiveness and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capability to lift big loads and for that reason reducing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have function built canopies designed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing air flow and reducing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing urban environment root barriers have ended up being a crucial strategy in preserving the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
