Tree pruning or elimination either separately, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove large trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can quickly remove large hard stumps from sites with restricted access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Hills Landscaping has established tactical alliances with several consulting arborists throughout our service area for the benefit of our clients.

Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to assist us in our daily activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically created for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continuously work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the best possible way. To further make sure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically created for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance easy, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to raise large loads and therefore decreasing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies created to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing airflow and decreasing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become an important technique in maintaining the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to permit the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety features and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
