Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of big trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can quickly get rid of big hard stumps from sites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically created for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the urban environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the safest possible method. To further make sure the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically created for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher effectiveness and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capability to raise big loads and for that reason minimizing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies created to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and minimizing dust triggering air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have become a crucial method in maintaining the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
