Tree pruning or removal either separately, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove large trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can easily remove large hard stumps from websites with minimal access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and removal in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continuously work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the safest possible method. To further ensure the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance easy, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater effectiveness and improved safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to raise large loads and therefore lowering our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies designed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and lowering dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing urban environment root barriers have become an essential strategy in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
