Our Devices

We have a series of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically created for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the urban environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the safest possible method. To further make sure the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically created for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and improved safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capacity to raise big loads and therefore decreasing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose constructed canopies created to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing airflow and decreasing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become a crucial strategy in preserving the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
