Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of big trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can easily get rid of big challenging stumps from sites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Devices

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly created for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the metropolitan environment requires operators to constantly work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the best possible way. To further make sure the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly created for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and enhanced safety in eliminating trees.

With their capacity to lift big loads and therefore minimizing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function developed canopies created to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and minimizing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an essential strategy in preserving the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
