Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to assist us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and removal in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the safest possible method. To further ensure the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and improved safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to raise big loads and therefore minimizing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function built canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing air flow and minimizing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become a crucial strategy in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we ensure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
