Tree pruning or elimination either separately, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier installation.

Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove large trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can easily remove large hard stumps from sites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the metropolitan environment requires operators to continuously work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the best possible way. To further ensure the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher effectiveness and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capability to lift large loads and therefore decreasing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose developed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling air flow and decreasing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have ended up being an important strategy in protecting the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to permit the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety functions and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we ensure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
