Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can easily remove big challenging stumps from websites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree upkeep and removal in the urban environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further ensure the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and improved safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capability to lift big loads and for that reason lowering our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing air flow and lowering dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an important strategy in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety features and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we ensure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
