Tree pruning or removal either separately, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of large trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can easily get rid of large difficult stumps from sites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Devices

We have a range of equipment to help us in our everyday activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly created for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree upkeep and removal in the urban environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further make sure the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly created for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance easy, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and improved safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capability to lift large loads and therefore reducing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose developed canopies created to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting airflow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become an important method in maintaining the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to permit the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
