Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of big trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can easily get rid of big tough stumps from websites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

We have a range of equipment to assist us in our daily activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and removal in the metropolitan environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater effectiveness and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to lift big loads and for that reason lowering our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have function developed canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing airflow and lowering dust triggering air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have become an important technique in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety features and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
